Each of the following instructions listed is for clearing both the cookies and cache for each browser. Please be sure to close the browser out completely after, before returning back to Comergence.com to proceed.
Google Chrome
NOTE: You can also hold Ctrl + Shift + Delete and skip to step 3. |
Click on the settings icon that appears to the right of the address bar. In the newest versions of Chrome, this appears as three vertical dots and in older versions will be three horizontal lines or a wrench icon .
From the menu, select More tools > Clear browsing data
Place a check mark selection the following:
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
Select All time in the Time range drop down box and click on the CLEAR DATA button.
There will be a circling animation to show the browser is processing the request. Once completed, then please restart the browser by closing it out completely and then open again. Proceed back to www.comergence.com to login. If not successful, please contact Comergence Support.
Microsoft Edge:
1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the Settings and More (...) button on the top-right corner.
3. Select the Settings option.
4. Click on Privacy and services.
5. Under the “Clear browsing data” section, click the Choose what to clear button.
6. Use the “Time range” drop-down menu to select the “All time” option (recommended).
7. Check the items Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files.
Click the Clear now button. Once completed, then please restart the browser by closing it out completely and then open again. Proceed back to www.comergence.com to login. If not successful, please contact Comergence Support.
Internet Explorer:
- Select Tools (via the Gear Icon) > Safety > Delete browsing history....
NOTE: You can also access this menu by holding Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
- The user will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.
Once the above yellow and white banner shows, then please restart the browser by closing it out completely and then open again. Proceed back to www.comergence.com to login. If not successful, please contact Comergence Support.
Safari:
Clear cookies and cache for individual sites
- Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data...
Cleaning cookies and the cache data for individual sites can be done by opening the Preferences dialog box in the Safari tab in the top-left, then selecting the Privacy icon and clicking the 'Manage Website Data...' button.
You can then prune the list manually by selecting an individual site and clicking the Remove button, or delete all cookies and cache by clicking the Remove All button. There's a search field you can use to track down individual sites.
Bear in mind that deleting cookies might remove autocompleted login usernames and passwords for sites, and will almost certainly log you out of that site if you've configured it to automatically log in each time you visit.
Clean the Safari cache
Preferences > Privacy > Advanced > Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar
The Developer menu can be activated by selecting Safari > Preferences, clicking the Advanced icon, then click alongside Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar. (This option is right at the bottom.)
Once completed, then please restart the browser by closing it out completely and then open again. Proceed back to www.comergence.com to login. If not successful, please contact Comergence Support.
Firefox:
Clear cookies for the current website
To delete cookies and site data for a website you're currently visiting:
1. Click the padlock at the left of the address bar.2. Click Clear Cookie and Site Data.
Clear for all
- Click the menu button and choose Options.
- Select the Privacy & Security panel.
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data….
- Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.
- With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.
- Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
- Once completed, then please restart the browser by closing it out completely and then open again. Proceed back to www.comergence.com to login. If not successful, please contact Comergence Support.
